Originally the Western Cape Tilapia Growers Association we have changed to BREAM which I feel is more appropriate. The focus continues to be the development of aquaculture in Southern Africa with a slant towards tilapia culture. With very little data or working tilapia farms it was decided to develop our own research farm, analyze appropriate stock, research markets and bring together interested parties. The web site has been developed to create a database so that future interested parties have somewhere to start and to assist them into the great adventure of aquaculture. The founding members have diverse interests with a common passion for all things aquaculture. |
The group has developed different skills in the aquaculture industry and the idea behind the association is to create not only a think tank but a archive for all it's members to use. We are also looking at aquaculture equipment supplies and the process of permit application, contacting authorizing bodies and generally a point of contact for new and old members alike. If you have any contribution to make please drop us a email and we will be happy to post it. The Editor - Glen Thomas |
